Devastating Experience

My Bearded Dragon, Draco Maleficient, sadly was not with me for more than a month. I had been cat-sitting a friend's nursing cat while she was in Georgia for several months, and one night the cat ate Draco Maleficient. It was a very devastating experience that one of my temporary pets would eat one of my permanent pets. One thing I did learn from this experience is to keep the terrariums of your smaller pets out of the reach of any predatory pets you might have, like cats. The short time that I did have my Bearded Dragon was great though. After a good period spent sunbathing under his sunlamps, Draco Maleficient would allow me to show him off to the neighborhood kids and show them how to properly pick up and hold him. A good cleaning of his terrarium once a week made him happy with his habitat as well.
