The Beardies in the Living Room

My ex partner was a herpetologist and we frequently had all different types of amphibians and reptiles in the house for various periods of time. One of the types of lizards that I recall lasting a very long time was the delightful Bearded Dragons. They sat in a very large, well lit and heated tank in our living room. I remember this tank was very popular with all guests as our Beardies were quite sociable and highly visible. The tank was large and and my then partner had made it very attractive with variable lighting. He had also made caves and walkways for the lizards and also it had (safe) plants in there also. As the lizards were small when we got them they soon learnt to come out and see if anyone was going to feed them if someone were in the living room. They were easy to feel, crickets and meal-worms were the order of the day and I do not remember them being a chore to keep clean or maintain the tank. They were always alert and lively and really interesting to watch. I do not remember anyone other than my partner handling them so I do not know how people friendly they are. Very good fun pets to have.
