The Banded Knob Tail Gecko (Nephrurus wheeleri) is a bright orange gecko with brown bands on its body. They do very well in captivity and are gaining huge popularity with hobbyist around the world. They are easy to keep and require very little in terms of specialists requirements. They are a great species to keep because they are small. It is very easy to sell their babies as they are in high demand. They are great feeders and are very calm and relaxed geckos. They do not get stressed like some rare species of geckos and actually do just as well in captivity as Giant Ground Geckos and Leopard Geckos. I would recommend this species to intermediate and Expert Gecko enthusiasts. If you do choose to buy these, please buy a pair and breed them so that you can ensure the chances of them getting taken out the wild will lessen and they will become more readily available in the future. A brightly colored Gecko that is hardy and resilient
