Not a bad pet, just not my kind of pet

After my experience with lizards - chameleons to be specific - as a child, I decided that I had a strong preference for animals that would play with me over those that could merely be handled. Somewhere along the road to adulthood I forgot that decision and ended up with a ball python.

She was fairly low-maintenance, especially when compared to a lot of my other pets, but she wasn't nearly as fun to play with. Mostly she just kinda hung out around my neck. Things only got exciting when she would decide to leave her terrarium and go for a walk. My housemates would call me at work in a panic and I would have to rush home only to find them up on the kitchen table with a broom and my snake curled up under her terrarium stand. She never did go very far.

I took her with me when I moved to a larger city a few hours south but I never did fall in love with her and I decided to giver her to someone who actually liked snakes more than the idea of them when I moved to Hawaii.
