, and so many other pests around the yard. Of course, we thought the birds were too much, but we couldn't stop her! We eventually just kept track of her "kills" in the garage, which we were only so intrigued by because she had once been an inside, declawed cat.<br><br>Overall, would definitely get again!){kind=link}
 growl at any passing members.<br><br>Unfortunately, later, we moved to another home, one which had a really nice carpeted dog house in the garage. I remember I leaned in once to pet her and she snapped at me. Of course, I didn't think anything of it, but my parents were not pleased.<br><br>To make matters worse, she eventually snapped at the neighbor girl and we had to put her down. I know that over all she sounds like a terrible dog, but when she wasn't angry, she was awesome! So much fun to play with, and she even played with the cat we had. Although she was fun at times, it didn't outweigh the bad times, which seemed to be much worse. My experience has been bad with them, but I've met some really lovely Malamutes at dog parks, so I know they are great dogs overall.){kind=link}
 and during fall when we would rake up the leaves, she would wait in line with us and jump in on her turn! The other dog, Shep, learning from her, found out how much fun it would be to chase us down a hill (while we're sledding) and playfully attack us at the bottom of the hill, effectively pushing us back in the snow and preventing us from getting up. It was always in such a fun manner though, I never saw any harmful or aggressive acts out of any of my Sheperds.<br><br>I would, hands down, get this down again, with or without small children. Seriously, they're the best. Shep used to howl along with the fire trucks that would pass by, who wouldn't think that is the coolest thing ever?){kind=link}
, I use Diamond Large Breed because it already has glucosamine, although I know people who have gone the extra mile and given them a pill with some sort of meat or peanut butter. Anyway, in order to keep some strain off their joints, I also have an elevated feeder for my dog, in order to avoid him eating while laying down.<br><br>In addition to his medical needs, keep his social needs in mind. Zeus is the biggest attention hog I have ever seen. (He once squeezed between my dad and his dog in order to get that attention he was missing.) I, honestly, don't think Zeus would be good with another dog because he requires so much love and attention. I've noticed, he doesn't really know his size either, he's knocked a few small children down before, however, I think if he were around a child consistently it wouldn't be a problem.<br><br>Well, I hope I haven't talked you out of getting a Dane, they're really lovely dogs. And keep in mind that the regimens I stick to with my dog have been approved by my vet and you should talk to your vet before doing any of those things.){kind=link}
