An exuberant, almost spastic little puppy, Moses continued to be a constant companion much like Donkey was to Shrek. <br><br>Pros: Absolutely gorgeous and very easy to train. He rarely ever shed a large amount of fur and had a great temperament around children, strangers and in general - even got along with a sassy cat or two. <br><br>Cons: Very vocal. Moses had an opinion about everything, whether it was who was at the door or what the spot on the window was. Aside from that and an accident in the house once or twice, there really were no drawbacks to him besides his size leading him to be under foot quite a bit. <br><br>I miss him, wholeheartedly. He confused me as a kid because he was so energetic and I was turning into a moody teen, but I can always call him a great dog. She was already laid back and collected the moment we got her and she remains so today. Despite how she's grown, she has squeaky little meows she uses only when she needs to. <br><br>Pros: This breed, in my experience, is very easy to socialize and interact with. Raised as a kitten, Tabitha got used to her new environment and our dog quickly and without behavioral issues. A big lover of cuddling and trying to trip me while I poured her food in, she is also a very sassy and devious cat. That demure manner about her makes her an excellent companion for Sparks. <br><br>Cons: Her coat does shed almost constantly, and requires constant brushing for upkeep. Her biggest issue came from urinating in various places in the home, even after every solution and vet visit. She can be a bit of a brat about where her litter boxes are placed and she will often smack at Sparks for no reason other than she is walking by. A bit of adjusting has helped the urinating, through research and trial and error. <br><br>An American shorthair is a good breed for anyone looking for the definition of a "house cat". Tabitha really has been a wonderful addition to our home and she sleeps close to me every night. As I always recommend, do the proper time and research - invest in a litterbox per cat plus one in a low traffic area to help the spotting and always taking training into consideration.){kind=link}
