I thought it would require minimal care. <br><br>We had to invest in a fairly expensive glass enclosure and lots of bedding and things for his enclosure, but the worst was cleaning it. His feces had a horrible smell and there was very little interaction we could do with Jack. He couldn't play and didn't like to be handled.<br><br>He eventually escaped from my grandmother's balcony onto the golf course adjacent to her house while I was on vacation and my grandma was "tortoise-sitting".<br><br>I wouldn't buy another tortoise again.){kind=link}
