The White Holland Turkey is a great, all-round turkey. Ours were allowed to roam free-range once they were big enough to handle it. They roamed the barnyard and around the pasture and buildings.
As a free range bird they were well adapted. They liked to forage and always came back to the barn at night to be locked in.
These birds weighed in at between 20-30 pounds when we finally butchered them and were an easy sell come Thanksgiving.
The Tom's were more fluff and show than actual aggression so they were easier to be around than the Bronze turkey.
I would recommend these birds for someone who wants a low maintenance, less aggressive turkey around the yard.
