These chickens were my first attempt at owning birds for the benefits of eggs. These chickens did very well in that aspect. They were very friendly and never tried to fight me. I did not keep a cock as I wasn't trying to breed, so I have no experience with male leghorns. They were great layers and also did well free-range. They were great at finding their own food when I let them run around. If you are looking for a great breakfast experience, go with Leghorns.
