We have had many chickens while growing up however this is the first time we've gone for a bit of a variety. We have had our white Leghorn for just under 12 months and it has provided us with many large white eggs - even the occasional double yoke!

I find that my white Leghorn is very loud - the loudest chicken i have ever had! - particularly in the morning. So if your house is set close to your neighbours i wouldn't recommend getting a white Leghorn as they will wake the whole neighborhood! The white Leghorn stands tall and has and has a large comb, this combined with the noise in the mornings made me question whether mine was a rooster until she started laying. I find this breed is flighty.

The white leghorn seems to be the least productive of my bunch however we still get a decent amount of eggs and they taste absolutely beautiful and the double yokes are to die for!
