If you are looking for cattle for your farm or ranch, I recommend Herefords. We have both polled Hereford and horned White Faced Hereford. They are very calm and friendly, can be trained as dairy cattle but are great as beef cattle. We do not castrate our bull calves and market them when they approach maturity. Our current bull tolerates the young bull very well, he is too busy making babies. Hereford calve very easily and they are uniformly good mothers.

We sell ours at auction when the herd gets too large and they always bring high prices. We just had three born this summer and they are a delight to watch. They are so happy acting, jumping and running after each other. I truly love Herefords and will continue to grow my herd.
