When the average person thinks of a chicken, they typically have in mind a bird similar in appearance & attitude to the Golden Comet.
These birds work best when they are given plenty of green grass fresh water to eat & drink. Otherwise the nutritional value of the eggs will drop.
Typically I would recommend the Golden Comet for it's Egg production quality, not exactly it's quantity. Like most chicken's the Golden Comet should give about one egg a day.
We currently have a small organic/all natural farm, where we raise Chickens, Cows, Etc... And the Golden Comet's fit quite well into the operation, they give good quality eggs.
So for a organic farm, I would Highly recommend Golden Comets. However if you are looking for mass produced eggs then I would consider looking at other chickens.
