The goose attack of 1978...

I don't recall this happening, however it is a story that was told many times so I'm fairly certain that it is true.
When I was around 2 we had just moved into a rural area and my parents had decided that they wanted a variety of animals besides the 2 dogs and 24 cats (cats breed - quickly) so they somehow acquired a few goats and a couple of geese.
I was following my Dad around the backyard and he went inside, probably not realizing that I was following him, when my Mom heard me screaming and a lot of squawking going on outside. They ran outside to see the goose, at the time un-named, holding me by the nape of my neck and furiously shaking me.
My father chased the goose off and I was warned never to go in the backyard again and the goose was renamed "Christmas Dinner" as a warning to never touch me again.
I don't ever recall eating goose, on Christmas or otherwise, however Christmas Dinner did hang around the house for at least 4-5 more years before he went either to be someone's Last Supper or had his Last Supper.
