Dorper Sheep

I have been raising sheep for the past 28 years, and specifically Dorper and White Dorper Sheep for the past 15. Of all the breeds of sheep, Dorper and more specifically White Dorper are my favorite. Both of the Dorper breeds have great temperments, they are very calm, not flighty and rams tend to be doscile. The white dorper however has the mildest temper, and the pigmentation of their skin makes their care easier than dorpers. Both of the breeds are exceptional animals, as a hair breed they tolerate heat well, they typically twin and if maintained correctly can lamb 3x in a 2 year period. They have great mothering abilities and lamb easily. Great commercial value.
