My experience with owning a donkey for 12 years

My dad bought a donkey back in 2003.
It is an avarage donkey, but not with an avarage temperament.
It has never kicked anyone.
Especially when kids are around it is very calm and moves slow.
However, when no kids are around and it gets free it loves to have
a bath in the dust.
Donkeys are smaller than horses, so a kid over 150 can easily get on
its back.
We only have to feed it in winter, as in the other seasons it eats grass.
It needs 15-20 liters of water per day.
In winter it lives mostly on cereals.
All in all, not all donkeys are as family friendly as ours,
but there are some calm donkeys like ours and they can live up to 50-60 years.
