Productive Devons

Here in Tamworth, Australia, my wife Sarah and I have been breeding Devons for several years. This is because they live up to what is said about them! They are very easy to handle, very fertile, and finish well on grass. The Devon seems to tolerate extremes of heat and handles drought quite well too. In fact, they are wonderful cattle. My wife and I were new to cattle and we have been delighted with the way they handle. Although any full grown cow or bull (cows reach 500-600 kgs and bulls 800-1000kgs) should always be handled with care and respect, Devons are docile and are easily broken for showing and children would enjoy being shown these animals under adult supervision.
