The Daisybelle

The Daisybelle hen is a strong sturdy looking bird the feathering is almost black with a spray of silver on the breast. These hens are very good layers and will lay around 300 brown eggs a year.I find these hens to be well able to look after themselves and like to dominate weaker hens. The Daisybelle seem to thrive in most conditions and does not become sick easy. Daisybelles come from originally mixing Sussex Paternal stock and Barred Plymouth Rock maternal stock a good allround hybrid laying hen.
