The cotton patch geese can be quiet expensive.
They are 74-88 Cm in length and can weigh between 2-6 kg. They are monogamous birds so owning more than one would be more suitable. These geese can lay 4-6 eggs at a time, you can tell the sex of the goslings when young by the females being pink and grey and the males being yellow. They are very docile if hand raised but need a lot of space and access to a dam or lake.
Unlike domestic geese these geese can fly but they can not fly for long.
They are easy to maintain and if prepared to deal with the noise are great additions to any farm.
