I've only ever raised cornish pullets for meat. They are a very easy-to-raise breed: hearty, docile, and resilient. They definitely aren't the smartest of birds; a weasel or hawk can take out quite a bit of a flock without much trouble.

However, they are excellent meat birds. Feeding them a high protein diet (around 21%) you can expect them to weigh in at around 5 lbs., post processing. Just make sure to not let them forage on their own (they wander away and/or will get eaten)--a large, fenced-in area works best--keep them with plenty of water, and put them in at night.
