Acquired: Bred animal myself

Established in 1964, the Puketauru Coopworth Flock has been managed by our family since 1972. My wife and I have bred rams for commercial Clients in New Zealand for the past 12 years.
As a dual purpose breed (meat and wool) the Coopworth is hard to beat for economic returns. High fertility coupled with fast lamb growth rates, excellent lambing (birthing ability and nurturing of young) and high quality mid-micron wool.
Coopworth ewes are fantastic mothers! The breed has good temperament and intelligence. In NZ they have been bred for "easy care" low input farming and they thrive in a range of environments.
Oh and by the way - Coopworth lambs make wonderful pets.
