Common Quail in a Classroom

I was a 5th grade science teacher in South Carolina. I decided that the students would watch the process of hatching eggs and then take care of the young ones for a week. I already contacted a local quail farm. The incubation process and the hatching were great to watch. The quails hatched and my student had to make sure to feed and water them daily. I would not recommend quail for the classroom as they are a flight when frightened bird......not a good combination inside.
