One of the most friendly chickens I have had

This is the kind of chicken i would have again. They are mostly friendly towards eachother, but problems can occur. There is mainly a couple of bullies in the flock, they mainly pick on the one who is different. I suggest to look around to find out who is the worse bully, I found two of my cochin which i had to put down.
After they were gone things went better, even tho someone allways gets picked on.

The cochin is great if you want a chicken that is easy to get social. I have made my cochins friendly towards me, so they like to be petted and held.

I would say this is great for starters, they are easy to handle, and they easily get comfortable. The eggs they are laying is pretty small compared to many others, if you want a chicken for the eggs i would not suggest getting cochins.
