I was told the White Chinese Geese will mate for life, so I purchased a single pair. They have turned out to be better guard animals than my canine companions. letting me know instantly when someone or something is approaching. They don't require special pens, so mine are allowed to roam freely. They will instantly love you or hate you, and will let you know quite loudly. If they take a dislike to someone in your home, I don't recommend giving them free range. If they love you, they will come to your feet and enjoy your attention.
Chinese geese are great brooders, and lay an average of 100 eggs per year. I have no knowledge of their meat, except to say they grow rapidly and I have heard good things about their flavor. I prefer to enjoy their company and presence, and watch them interact with the other animals.
