This breed is the best I ever owned; very nice animals with a generally calm temperament. Charolais do seem to require a lot of feed, but then they are big boned with lots of meat on them, and their meat is of the highest quality so it's worth it! Excellent mothers, our cows tend to produce bigger calves, which I've heard can sometimes be problematic during calving, but we've never had any complications due to this and all our calves have been healthy and strong. And boy do they ever grow fast!
