Charolais are another good all round breed of cattle. For a long length of time, charolais cattle have always been the beef market leaders in the UK and Ireland. They are favored among many cattle farmers across Europe.
Firstly, charolais are a big continental breed of cow, and this sometimes causes difficulty at times of calving. Charolais calves are normally born as strong little animals and grow rather quickly. They are a good grade of animal with good carcass quality.
The breed is probably not the most docile of all breeds. They are however a tough and hardy animal.
Charolais bulls are popular for bulls shows because they are an impressive animal, especially the pure-bred charolais.
