Acquired: Worked with animal (didn’t own)

I worked on a friend's Charolais cattle ranch for six months (during the winter & spring.) Ranch work is hard and demanding. Regardless of the weather, cows must be counted, checked, fed and watered. Then, if any problems present-they must be dealt with immediately. I used to think hobby farming would be fun but after working on an actual ranch, I learned it is very expensive and yields very little income. The cattle were temperamental and spread out over a large amount of land. This made for difficult work when snow was falling and the gravel roads were icy.
