Charolais Cattle

Overall, Charolais Cattle are gentle and easy to work with. The bulls can be aggressive and surly. The females are excellent mothers with great maternal instincts. They produce lots of milk and yield a high weaning weight calf. Since they are a larger breed of cattle, Charolais do require more forage. Some bloodlines produce high birth weight calves which can be a problem for first time mothers.
