We have about 7 Buckeyes. They were pretty aggressive as chicks, but have settled down a lot. The two roosters aren't even too bad, although they occasionally show signs of aggression. Buckeyes are good sized birds, so they can't fly out of their enclosure or into the trees like some of our smaller chickens. They're good egglayers. They provide us with a decent quantity of standard brown eggs. Buckeyes are a good choice for a starter flock or backyard chicken keepers.
