My grandfather received a few of these birds on a trade. We started with one rooster and a couple hens. After a few years we gave a small brood of about 10 birds to a conservationist group who was trying to help revive the population. They are excellent backyard birds who produce several eggs a week that are good sized and usually brown in color. I would highly recommend these birds to amateurs, just be aware that they are endangered.
