I know these hens as ISA Browns. They are a large, brown hen. They lay an extra large brown egg - and they lay lots of them.
In my experience with these birds they are the perfect farm yard bird. They are great foragers, gentle but flighty if spooked. My hens will roost in their shed every night, lay eggs early in the morning, eat a bit and go out into the run until dark. They are docile enough that if one does escape you could catch it.
I sell their large, brown eggs around town and everyone loves them.
If you are looking for egg quality and calm temperament then this is your bird. If you want something pretty - not so much.
