I got a few of these birds as a trial last year, made them about a third of my brooding batch this spring--and am kicking myself a little for not doing more. I'd all but given up on finding a heritage breed bird that dressed at a decent weight while not eating twice as much per pound as my economical little Domeniques. Well, Brahma's are those birds. Their egg laying isn't anything to write home about, but I've seen worse!
Mine have all been decent foragers, and have been pretty predator savvy for birds as generally docile as they are. A great addition to any dual purpose flock.
