Amber is one of the many babies we had in our meat/dairy goat population. She stood out because, as one of the bottle babies we raised when an Alpine or Nubian dairy does was crossed with one of the Boer billies she was raised in the house. These little kids were so much fun to be around. It made me look forward to spring every year knowing they would be invading and taking over our home and our hearts. The girls were easy to get attached to because we knew they'd be staying to join the herd and not going for meat production. Amber was a cuddly, lovable kid who liked nothing better than to curl up underneath my desk at my feet while I worked on paperwork, or follow me around the kitchen. Of course, like all of the bottle babies, she's come a runnin' at full speed when the bottles came out.
