This goat was exceptional in size and character. I bought him to upgrade my native goat stock and he didn't disappoint me. though a bit pricey to purchase he was worth every penny I spent for him. He didn't run after every doe he just mounted the ones in heat. His offspring carried a lot of his characteristic boer markings and they showed good vigor and carcass size compared to the native stock. He died in a freak accident on the farm and it took two men to move the animal which still wasn't fully matured, this is a testament to the ability of this breed to pack on meat like no other meat goat breed. Despite their imposing size he was very easy to handle even when it was time for drenching and deworming or getting his hooves trimmed. I wold highly recommend this goat for any breeder who wants to upgrade his/her goat herd for increased meat production and size.
