Betty the Boer Goat

I traded two pygmy bucks for our gal Betty the boer. She was beautiful! We didn't need as many males as we had and wanted to test the boer waters. I heard production wise they can birth babies fairly easy, withstand cold and heat with proper shelter, and are very meaty weighing more than most other goats we have had. She grew what seemed to be twice as fast as other goats that we birthed and raised. High fences needed! Goats will eat anything, jump on anything, and be stubborn! She knew her name and still wouldn't come! Raising them from birth rather than buying an adult you can train a goat like a dog. The boer usually keep their value. Excellent for showing! We gave her to family to chew down their field. Cheap lawn mower : )
