Bluebelle Chickens make fantastic pets

We kept a Bluebelle hen for just over 1 year, she was a very pretty, calm and friendly hen. Her stature was medium sized and she fared well in our mixed coop with the other girls. Her eggs were speckled brown and medium to large in size, she laid most days during the first summer. We fed her a mixture of layers pellets, mixed corn and dried meal worms/seeds as a treat- all chickens tend to love these. She spend much of her time outdoors foraging for insects and dust bathing to keep her feathers lovely and clean. I would recommend a Bluebelle bird to any first time chicken keeper, they are calm, friendly and very good at laying eggs.
