I had for some months a black shuman chicken. My parents were breeding chickens as a hobby so I grew in the environment and started to like taking care of my chickens.
But there was one chicken that I loved the most : a small little black bump of feathers which I loved from day one. I called him Chicky, never believing that he could be my friend.
It was a blast to come and feed all the chickens and see Chicky coming to me and climbing on my shoulder. It ate from my palm and let me run after him until he gave up. It was rather unusual for a chicken to act like that friendly. It was completley black, very friendly, never aggresive with great foraging ability, not agreeing to hot or to cold wheather.

Of course Chicky had to live outside and I never got him out of his place for he makes a lot of dirt and might come with infections.

All in all, raising chickens might be pretty fun, especially if they like you and get friendly, you really can get attacked to them.
