Pickle the Ameraucana

Our brown red ameraucana hen, Pickle, produced large light blue eggs. Sometimes they came out as a light greenish color, as well. She had a very even temperament, and was not as skittish as some of the other hen types we have had. Pickle, named by our 2yo son, was friendly with kids and wasn't broody. She didn't eat as much as other hens we had, but drank fervently each time we put out water. She had an exceptionally long laying cycle - we were getting eggs from her when some of our other hens weren't laying at all.
