Not the best chicken for eggs

I got ten of these chickens (nine hens and one rooster by accident) as laying hens, the intention being to eat some of the eggs and sell the rest. I had them for about a year and a half, in which time they laid a total of about two dozen eggs. They were very friendly and easy to care for, but I did find it annoying that the rooster would start crowing at 4:30 on the dot. He would have been a great alarm clock if I needed to get up at 4:30. They would probably be great as just pets (and they made wonderful meat chickens), but they were not good layers.
