Chickens Were Friends Not Food

If you thought that birds didn't like to cuddle, you were mistaken. My chickens, even my roosters—especially my roosters—were extremely affectionate. They laid quite a few eggs even though they were really small, but, they weren't particularly good mothers so I wouldn't expect much in that department. My roosters loved to be wrapped in blankets and held like babies while I watched T.V. It was the strangest thing. I finally got rid of them because they were very time consuming to take care of because of their fancy feathering and because I wanted to keep them pretty to show. But, I was very satisfied with them as pets.
