Black belly sheep

My husband and I first bought four types of sheep; the Barbados blackbelly, Mofloun, Dessert dragons, and Texas dolls. The blackbelly sheep are more calm mannered than some of the other breeds but not quite and hardy. We had the most losses the first year from the Barbados blackbelly sheep. They are less hardy than the other breeds but easier to work with when giving immunization and health check up. Also the blackbelly have an easy time lambing and tend to be great mothers. We have had a difficult time weaning the lambs in a timely manner for the ewes to get pregnant again.
