I kept a brood of black autralorps for a number of years. The best thing I liked about them was that they started laying at the age of about 6 months some time in November and never really stopped. They produced large brown eggs, and plenty of them. However, if they are intended for breeding stock, be aware that they do not set so you will need an incubator.
