These little chickens come in both large fowl and Bantam size. They are a really smart little chicken and easy to raise. Hatching is another story. This breed standard should have double tufts and rumpless which means no tail feathers. This standard is hard to hatch due to a genetic fault called the kill gene. It seems when some chicks get this they either don't hatch or they can't open there little beaks to eat the feathers shaft ends up in the wrong place. I haven't had this problem because I breed Non tufted to tufted birds and I get great hatches with both clean faced and double tufted birds and all but very few have tails out of 200 chicks 4 tailed chicks. They just get taken to the local sale and get sold as green egg layers. This is the true easter egger chicken. They are a lot of fun to own.
