Organic Beef

Our family purchased two cows with the intent of raising our own organic beef. This experience was definitely great for our family, and we were able to eat the meat yielding from these cows for quite some time. If you have the time and the land to do this, I would definitely recommend. I did not wish to spend too much time with the cows, as I did not want to get too attached to them, but when I was around, Pettie was an extremely docile, calm animal. They had plenty of room to graze in a field, and a small covered area to keep warm and sleep in the winter months. They were fed their grass in the field, apples from our apple tree, and were given plenty of water. Raising them was very effortless and enjoyable, as we would be consuming meat that was from a cow that had a happy, healthy life, and not a sad, unethical one. As I stated before, if you have the resources to raise beef for your family, then I would definitely recommend!
