We had a Red Angus Bull that we called "Red" because he had a solid color. From what I remember about him is that he produced a lot of fine Angus calves, when they reached full age, they were used for beef. Angus Bulls and cattle are some of the finest cattle that any one could have. They are low maintenance and have very good health.
I would highly recommend that if you are looking to get cattle that you would get the Angus cattle because of their value to the food industry and to your family if you were looking to keep the beef for yourselves.
