These cattle are predominately used for beef production, their meat is often the preferred choice for many restaurants globally. They have a nice quite and even temperament. But with all larger livestock it is advisable to keep your wits about you. Although they are good mothers and don't have too many troubles calving, livestock should always be checked regularly. Hand rearing calves is a time consuming option but is very enjoyable and when handled often they become very tame. A large supply of feed is required and they prefer to run in a herd of other cattle and not left on their own.
