Black Angus is known as one of the highest meat yielding breeds of cattle in the United States. This can be contributed to many factors.
Unlike most cattle, the Black Angus has the ability to turn grazing into body weight. For many breeds, you have to purposely feed them large quantities of food to cause them to bulk up, which can result in some really fatty meat.
Because of the ease they have in bulking up, you can take them to slaughter much earlier than you can most other breeds, which makes them a quick money maker for those in search of some cash.
The meat that is rendered from the Black Angus breed is more tender than most other breeds. They also have a lot less fat concentration than most cattle.
