Acquired: Bred animal myself

My family raised Angus cattle for about 10 years...wonderful animals!
We often had twins, and my job was to bottle feed. It can be hard not to get attached to the animal, so if you are raising one to eat, or for a 4-H/FFA project...make sure you draw a clear line as to how much time you spend with them. Cattle can be expensive to raise...they eat a lot...but the meat is sooo worth it! Although we put ours in the barn on extremely cold nights, they don't mind a little snow and cold weather. Angus beef is highly sought after...so if you are willing to sell for meat, they can be very profitable.
