Cassie - Milking Devon cow

I had two milking devon cows for a number of years. They can be somewhat skittish, but were never aggressive in my experience, and if given some hay or feed, can be handled with ease (we were able to milk them out in the open after setting out a bucket of feed).

They are very hardy and self-sufficient, they can graze almost anywhere and don't require constant attention.

We got 2-3 gallons per day per cow when they initially started lactating, then decreased to a pretty steady 1 1/2 gallons per day.
