Bred animal myself

American buff geese defy the stereotype, deserved as it may be, that geese are bad tempered and mean. Buffs are the kindest most even tempered poultry that I have ever worked with. In addition their meat and eggs are both of exceptional quality. Most people do not eat goose eggs but buff eggs are perfectly palatable and even delicious. They are a grazing bird and will forage for much of their diet. This does mean that they need hay in the winter but less grain. They are quite affectionate and quickly bond with their owner. They are safe around all types of small animals and children and are the perfect watch dog.
