Ameraucana the best breed of chicken

My daughter acquired this breed of chicken as a project from her kindergarten class. At first we didn't know what breed of chicken she was, so we had to wait until she was older. She is a hardy breed that seems to tolerate the heat and the cold equally well. Not the friendliest of breeds though. She is skittish and gets scared easily if you walk up on her.
When it comes to production of eggs, she amazed me. She laid blue eggs and laid one everyday for six days, would take a day off then start laying like that again. The eggs were very tasty and worth the time and trouble that it takes to have a flock of chickens. If they are free ranged, they don't eat as much feed as if they are caged all the time. We never had trouble with her and she never got sick. One of the better breeds of chickens in my opinion.
